INTEGRITY

What Is It?

Official Definition:- wholeness; soundness; uprightness; honesty.

My definition of Integrity is summed up in 3 words "HONOURING MY WORD"

Honouring My Word

Doing what I said I would do, and doing it on time
Doing what I know to do, doing it as it was meant to be done, and doing it on time.
Doing what others would expect me to do, even if I haven't said I would do it, and doing it on time.
Whenever I will not be doing any of the above, saying so, as soon as I realize I won't be doing it, or, won't be doing it on time, and saying if I will do it, and by when, or saying I won't be doing it at all.
Dealing with the consequence of me not doing it on time, or not doing it at all, for all those who are impacted by me not doing it on time, or not doing it at all.

I have always been a person of Integrity and I never understood why I seemed to have different views on this subject than others. It is so strong with me that it directs me everyday in my activities....For example!

I am never late to an appointment!.. and if perchance I am going to be late I will always contact the person to advise I will be late (even if it is by only 1 minute!)

I won’t give any commitment to an agreement unless I am sure I can keep it!

I get concerned when people don’t keep their agreements with me, or don't offer an apology for not keeping those agreements!

This“strong point” is with me everyday in my personal as well as my business life. I used to be concerned about having it, but now I see that it is a great asset to my way of living. I am courteous to my fellow human being, I show respect to everybody, I would never rob anyone or take what is not mine, and at the end of the day I always feel that I have accomplished something when I have controlled my emotions when someone doesn’t keep an agreement with me or something similar.

"If every human practiced Integrity, we would have no need for wars, fighting or violence as we would understand the impact our Integrityhas on fellow human beings"
