Funding

Pacific Islanders Strengthening Supporting Advocating  Mentoring & Learning Network is auspice by Riverwood Community Centre that relies on donations, membership, fund-raising and government funding to help Pacific Islanders children, parents and people who have difficulty learning, special need which affected their performance in school and their everyday life. PISSAM provide education to students with special needs due to disadvantages of new arrival and other factors. Overall government funding represents approximately low % of our operational budget, while children, parent and the people's needs represent 75 or more % and fundraising is not yet achieve.

PISSAM has done a lot of programs with the tremendous support of Service providers and professionals at this time. PISSAM offer subsidised services to financially disadvantaged families. You must be a member of PISSAM NETWORK to access its' fee subsidies. Some PISSAMs' services are fully funded, others have fees and others are free.
